Don't Hear This: Dr. Demento on music censorship
How does censorship affect the music you hear (and don't hear) on radio and in other media? How do government and corporate interests restrict the choices of radio programmers? Barry Hansen, a 1963 graduate of Reed College has tested these restrictions for 37 years as host of the nationally syndicated Dr. Demento Show, a weekly program of "mad music and crazy comedy." He will discuss these thorny questions and address why a little censorship is not always a bad thing. (Presentation includes adult subject matter.)
