From the mind of Erik Koconis comes THE JOURNAL, a longform improv show that pushes the boundaries of collective storytelling in fun and exciting ways.
Inspired by an audience member's life, a narrator recounts chapters from their personal journal. The events described come to life through improvised play. As new characters, themes and plotlines are added by the troupe, the narrator must incorporate them into their larger tale, and-- hopefully--wrap everything up in hilarious, satisfying conclusion.
The show's cast includes:
Mike Betette, Brittney Giessel, Erik Koconis, David Ryan Lane,
Jeff Wheatley-Heckman, and Maria Zanoni!
This week's show also includes an improvised musical performance featuring James Boland, Rolly Frahm, Robby McGhee, Olivia Shircel, Jared Stepp, and Jonathan Wachala (accompanied by pianist Brian Bayer).
And as if that wasn't already enough, you'll also enjoy puppet comedy from Ryan Lowe and Uncle Edgar of the MKE Puppet Theater!
That's a lot of show for just $10!
It all takes place at Urban Harvest Brewing Company, where they brew hand-crafted ales and lagers in small batches several times a week. This creates a versatile line-up of beers to choose from, as well as adventurous seasonal and specialty brews.
Saturday, they'll be tapping their latest seasonal, the PriBock, a classic Bohemian Maibock where big and clean malt flavors meet German Noble hops. Enjoy a pint or two before, during and after the show!
Hungry? Wicked Urban Grill, Milwaukee's ONLY charcoal-grilled food truck, will also be onsite for hungry patrons all day with a special menu!
