Azure Family Concert for People with Autism or Similar Challenges and Their Families
The Azure Family Concerts are fun, friendly and engaging performances tailored to children and young adults who are on the autism spectrum or have similar challenges.
Since many with autism (or related challenges) cannot always attend traditional music performances due to vocalizations or physical movements, the Azure Family Concert performers seek to create a musical environment whereby such behaviors not frowned upon, but joyously accepted and embraced.
The concert is approximately one hour in length. Family members and caregivers of all ages are welcome to attend. The Peabody String Sinfonia will be joined by globe-trotting pianist and autism dad Stephen Prutsman, who started the Azure Family Concert Series in the San Francisco Bay area. The concert will feature classical, jazz and popular music, including a lively rendition of "Let It Go" from "Frozen!
