After receiving inspiration from the audience in the form of suggested words, The Ha-Ha's create an unscripted play right on the spot, complete with wild and wooly characters, emotional relationships, and a thematic narrative winding its way throughout the totally improvised production. You won't believe they're making it up on the fly as The Ha-Ha's improvise a series of unrelated scenes that artfully and comically will tie together to form a cohesive, wacky, whole comic production. Theatrical magic before your very eyes!

A Shot In The Heart By Way Of The Funny Bone

John Reese will offer scenes from John Cariani's Almost Maine. The setting of the author's play is the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. He has described his play as a "a midwinter night's dream," and has created delightful characters---real people who are honestly dealing with the most difficult thing in life: love and love lost. The two scenes to be presented are humorous, touching and laced with an occasional tinge of sadness. The action of these scenes is joyful and often unexpected and surely will engage anyone who has experienced the perils of romance.

SuperHappyMelancholyexpialidocious
Friday, Nov 9, 2012 @ 7:00pm & @ 9:00pm
Saturday, Nov 10, 2012 @ 7:00pm &  @ 9:00pm
Greenfield Community Television @ 393 Main Street, 3rd floor
Seth Lepore will present SuperHappyMelancholyexpialidocious, a stranger-than-fiction satire about the war on thought. The happiness industry is turned on its head to reveal the farcical ideology of the positive thinking movement. Think you know happiness? Think again!
From Texas megachurches turned motivational hothouses, to the latest testament of self-actualization from Oprah's Book Club, nothing is safe from Lepore's scrutinizing looking glass.
"Part Friedrich Nietzsche, part Jim Carrey, Lepore is sharp and challenging and funny and will help keep you honest and light-hearted around your own search for peace and happiness." -Flavorpill
"Lepore stretches the limits of character acting by switching effortlessly between facial expressions & expert voice work to bring these people to life on the turn of a dime. [SuperHappy...] is presented with a wit & honesty that makes this my favorite one-man show I've seen in quite some time."
