The Weir by Conor McPherson
A bar in a remote part of Ireland: the local lads are swapping ghost stories to impress a young woman from Dublin newly moved into the area. But she has a story of her own. Conor McPherson's haunting elegiac play is a masterpiece of modern theatre. Quietly compelling and strangely chilling, The Weir is ultimately a moving play about love and loss. Winner of the Olivier Award for Best Play and the work that gave us one of the great Irish dramatists of the age.
