Cheesemaking 101
Spend a day on the farm while learning to make cheese. Join The San Francisco Milk Maid (www.sfmilkmaid.com) as she teaches you how to craft Havarti, chevre, ricotta, fresh mozz and more on the Acadinah Cheese Company ranch. Acadinah Cheese Co crafts the award-winning cheese Capricious. Time will fly by as you enjoy a farm tour, meet the Acadinah cheesemakers, visit with goats then roll up your sleeves and dive in to the cheese lesson.
Class lasts four hours (11-3). Cost is $160 / person or $300 / couple which includes a lunch and cheese tasting, recipes, supplies and tons of cheesemaking enthusiasm. Plus, the best part is, by taking this class, you're supporting family farm viability. Delicious!
