Tour de Farm 2017: Beyond The Bend

On Sunday, April 23, 2017, the Nashville chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier will host the first Tour de Farm, a day-long tour and dinner fundraiser that celebrates the rich farm culture of Bells Bend and surrounding areas, and benefits the Les Dames Nashville's scholarship efforts. Two events in one, Tour de Farm includes a VIP Farm Tour and A Global Feast.

On the limited-seating, day-long VIP Farm Tour ($195 per person), guests travel via bus to five area farms for a rare, in-person meet-and-greet with farmers and learn how our local food is grown. They will have lunch along the way at Old School Farm. The VIP Farm Tour bus will travel to farms like Green Door Gourmet, Old School Farm, and KLD Farms, among others.

At each farm, guests will taste freshly prepared farm recipes and savor wine poured by members of Les Dames d'Escoffiers Nashville chapter.

The second event, A Global Feast ($75 per person), follows the tour and is a seated, globally inspired dinner at Green Door Gourmet orchestrated by celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan of Chauhan Ale & Masala House, as well as pastry chef Jessica Collins and restaurateur Cara Graham of Lockeland Table, all members of Les Dames Nashville.

Ticket prices are $195 for the VIP Farm Tour and include admittance to A Global Feast. Individual tickets for A Global Feast are $75 and include wine, beer, tax, and gratuities.

Tour de Farm 2017 is the first fundraiser staged by Les Dames Nashville and brings awareness to the food and farming communities in our area. Monies raised will allow Les Dames Nashville to support Mayor Megan Barry's Opportunity NOW Initiative, an effort to put 10,000 Nashville youth in internships this summer as well as provide books and equipment for culinary students and allow women to continue their education in the fields of food, farming, beverage, and hospitality.
