Macbeth
The first play of the 2012-2013 season, Macbeth roars into October with a new vision by director Joe Atack. "Imagine a time and place not too far from our own. A country devastated by civil war where the fate of the nation hangs in the balance - this is where we find ourselves in Macbeth. In strange, uncertain and dangerous times the Macbeths seize power bringing with them a reign of blood and terror. Fusing elements of the modern world and the past this production will follow the Macbeths into the darkest corners of the mind, as Shakespeare continues to prove the master of exploring the human condition"
Written by William Shakespeare in the early 1600s, Macbeth was the first play Brüka produced in its current space at 99 N. Virginia Street in 1997.
