Shattered

After a life-changing event shatters a young woman's world, she must examine how her past has shaped her views on sex, sexuality, and relationships.

Shattered tells the story of one individual picking up the broken pieces of herself and putting them back together again. Through character work, video, and narrative story-telling, we see how a single moment can change one's life forever and also force us to face our most protected secrets. By doing so, however, we learn to live again - It's not what happens to you that matters, it's what you do with it!

Diana Varco Bio (Writer/Performer):

Diana Varco is an LA based actress, comedian, writer and story-teller.

Diana has finished both improv programs at UCB and Groundlings, and can be seen the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month at the Clubhouse, where she runs a show dedicated to showcasing female comedians called Ladies' Night. Diana performed on the inaugural round of Mess Hall teams at UCB, and is regularly out and about in Los Angeles, creating make-believe scenarios in black box theaters...usually she's a fairy or an English orphan a la Oliver Twist.

Jessica Lynn Johnson Bio (Director):

Jessica Lynn Johnson, is a published playwright, recipient of BEST
NATIONAL SOLO ARTIST AWARD, member of the LA Women's Theatre Festival
Submission Screening Panel and founder of Soaring Solo Theatre
Company. Jessica teaches a FREE weekly solo theatre class at the
Whitefire Theatre, as well as paid private coaching sessions to guide
solo artists in the development of their 1 person plays. For over a
decade she has edu-tained international audiences touring her 25
character one person shows. Jessica was thrilled to direct 12 solo
shows in Solo Fest last winter and is proud to keep the tradition
alive this year with nearly 20 solo shows premiering. Johnson was also
privileged to direct 10 solo shows in the Hollywood Fringe Festival
over the summer of 2016, taking home TOP OF FRINGE, ENCORE PRODUCER AWARDS, & several other accolades! Lastly, Jessica is especially
honored to join Diana on her solo journey this winter!
