An Die Musik is a Schubertiade, an intimate evening of music by Schubert, to celebrate his birthday. This concert will take place at Northern Quarter, a well renowned restaurant in downtown Victoria.
Musicians Lisa Tinney (soprano) and Kathryn Le Gros (piano and clarinet) will be joined by friends Byron Phillips (baritone), Nathan Jacklin (cello) and Christine Chepyha (piano).
The program will include favourite lieder such as Gretchen um Spinnrade, Die Forrelle, Serenade, as well as other beautiful ones including Suleika, Der Hirt auf dem Felsen and Licht und Liebe. Piano music for four hands and pieces for piano and cello will round out the evening.
