When an eager young teacher lands a teaching job in an idyllic Russian village he discovers the entire town has been cursed with stupidity for 200 years. He can only break the curse by teaching someone anything within in 24 hours of his arrival. If not, he'll become a victim of the curse himself. A problem arises when he falls in love with a young woman so stupid that she has only recently learned how to sit down. Will he able to break the dreaded curse or succumb to it in order to stay with the woman he loves?
