Braiding Wisdom Winter Series: The Arts as Meditation
Through sound, movement, and a visual medium of choice, this workshop will explore ways to ground ourselves and see our path through the lens of the psychospiritual. Working with our understanding what we love without a why, what challenges us, how we are creative and how we are in our communities, new pathways can emerge.
Teacher Penny Andrews has served as a teacher, social worker and chaplain. Living on 10 acres and now retired, she is an active gardener, food preserver, bread baker and fermenter. For over a decade, she hosted a gathering of eclectic activists whose purpose was to explore, affirm and celebrate the nature of the human spirit at the MinGei Center on Penny Lane Farm in Cottage Grove. Retreat leader, ordained as a lay Zen minister, and a committed student of Life, Penny is now a regular presenter at the Free Thought Congregation in Sauk City.
This will be the first in a series of 13 classes held Wednesday evenings at the beautiful, heated wood yurt in Monona.
