Cafe Nordo Presents: Somethin' Burning
Who killed Chef Nordo Lefesczki?  This fall, Café Nordo presents Somethin' Burning, an immersive dining experience featuring Craft Cocktails, Nouvelle Roadhouse Cuisine, and a deeply sincere Special Agent bent on finding the truth in a small town penetrated by insidious darkness.
Seattle's favorite perennial pop-up cocktail theatre returns October 12 to sweep diners into a dark fantasy of American dreams.  Chef Nordo's menu of seasonal and sustainable cuisine is at its most whimsical: a savory breakfast-inspired journey paired with a flight of honest cocktails.  Things are not what they seem in a town where doughnuts and coffee are made with mashed potatoes and gravy and locals drink their cherry pie.

With Somethin' Burning, a murder mystery in four courses, Café Nordo transforms the old dinner theater trope into a Lynchian fever dream.  Nordo regulars Opal Peachey, Maximillian Davis, Kiera McDonald, and Sachie Mikawa share Nordo's boards with newcomers M.J. Sieber and Noah Benezra.  The evening is scored by composer Annastasia Workman nothing too loud, just a melody, a rhythm, and a sweet vocal about how things could be, performed by the Café Nordo Houseband featuring Workman on keys, Devin Bannon on vocals, Matt Manges on drums, and Evan Mosher doing double duty as horn player and Special Agent Elliot Penn.  Erin Brindley and Terry Podgorski continue their collaboration as director/food designer and writer/scenic designer with Stranger Genius Award Winner Jennifer Zeyl as guest installation artist.
