WHPK 88.5 FM Chicago Jazz Format | 7th Annual Black History Month Celebration
The WHPK Jazz Format presents the Henry Johnson Quintet during its Seventh Black History Month Celebration of Jazz, "Our Gift to the World," 7 p.m. Sat., Feb. 11, 2017 in International House, 1414 E. 59th St., Chicago, Ill. on the University of Chicago campus.
The quintet includes Henry Johnson, guitar; Eric Schneider; saxophone; Billy Foster, piano; Josh Ramos, bass; and Charles Heath, drums.
The jazz format also honors legendary Chicago pianist John Wright, recipient of the 2017 WHPK 88.5 FM REACH Award.
Doors open at 7 pm. Tickets are $25 for VIP seats; $10 for general admission; and $8 for Jazz Institute of Chicago members and students with ID.
