How can you be a good father when your son lives 2000 miles away?
When his ex goes back to Texas and threatens to take his son with, a father finds himself transported to the experiences of his own dysfunctional childhood. Whether it be a Kafka-esque science fair project; an 8th grade breakup; or an Israeli ex-military stepfather that guards milk like the Gaza Strip; the confused father relives these moments on the journey toward connecting to his son. Can Dad keep the relationship vibrant and necessary? Will he forgive the mistakes of the adults who raised him? Will he get jumped in the high school parking lot by every gangster in South Florida, while he stands helpless as his son gets taken to Texas?
