Event
Wild Edibles class at Landis Valley
Naturalist Debbie Naha will begin with an indoor powerpoint presentation and then head outside (yes, in February) to stalk and talk about the wild edibles found. Come prepared with appropriate winter clothing.
Debbie Naha is a naturalist with an undergraduate degree in Biology, and a Master's degree in Food and Nutrition from New York University. She is also a Certified Master Gardener, a Registered Dietitian/Licensed Nutritionist, and a high school teacher. Debbie's specialty is wild edible plants. She has been foraging local woods and fields for decades. Her degree in Biology, along with advanced training in Nutrition, combine to provide a unique approach to appreciating the wild edible plants of our area.
