"The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" Porchlight Players' 7th annual Valentine's Day Dinner Theater event.
Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming ding of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box. A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius.
Your ticket includes dinner catered by Fork Art Catering of Eagle (your choice of three entrees - (Vegan) Barley Meatloaf, Red Wine Porcini Sauce, Polenta, Haricot Verts; Chicken Forestiere (Pan Seared Airline Chicken Breasts, Sautéed Wild Mushrooms, Fontina Cheese), Dijon Cream Sauce, Risotto, Haricot Verts; Colorado Peach Glazed Salmon, Wild Rice Pilaf, Haricot Verts; dessert tray served at your table, three drinks (beer, wine or soft drinks), complimentary coffee and tea service, and the show. Doors open at 5:45pm; dinner service starts at 6:00pm. Curtain at 7:00pm, with dessert and coffee or tea served at intermission.
Tickets must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance.
