Braiding Wisdom Winter 2017 Series - Being Yourself, Being with Others: : Explorations using Zero Balancing Principles and Circle Practice" with Efrat Livny
This workshop offers and experiential exploration of the art of Interface. When we are at Interface we are fully present to and responsible for ourselves while, at the same time, offer our availability, attention, deep listening and trusting presence to another. At Interface, we can be very intimate with another without losing our boundaries. As a result, we can lean into each other for true and mutually beneficial support. Using principles and practices from the art of Zero Balancing (www.zerobalancing.com) and of Circle Practice (wwww.peerspirit.com), participants will have ample opportunity to be with themselves and with others in an engaged, refreshing and, possibly, transformative way.
Efrat Livny, a resident artist and healer at Threshold, creates objects that foster listening, self-expression and communication from a place of balance, receptivity and wisdom. Inspired by the cultural, aesthetic and wisdom traditions of the Native Americans, Buddhism and the Middle East, she brings together objects that she collects in nature and during her extensive world travels. She works with individual and groups to collaborate in the creation of their unique Talking Stick.
