Your subscription supports high quality theatre education in Akron provides you with a fantastic entertainment value. Firestone Theatre consistently produces exciting and challenging theatre to surpass your expectations.
Consider the additional opportunity to purchase a reserved, VIP ticket for all Firestone Theatre productions at a single low price. Your VIP status admits you to all Firestone Theatre productions as well as access to a special VIP room and a reserved seat for each Main Stage performance.
Firestone Theatre and the academic theatre course of study offers basic and advanced training that follows the full range of the theatrical discipline. A full season of plays and musicals is produced by Firestone Theatre collaborating with all other disciplines of the arts. Special programs like touring shows, guest artist residencies, an Improvisation Troupe and the 24-Hour Project round out the curriculum.
We provide students with the opportunity to appear on stage and contribute to the creative process via a backstage or technical role. Firestone students are not just actors but also designers, technicians; our students design sound, lights, scenery, props, and many other aspects of production. Students run the equipment, pull props, play an instrument for the musical pit, focus lights, sell tickets, and record sound effects as well as build, paint, and move scenery.
