East meets West - a fundraiser for the Himat Initiative
East meets West will feature a program of Sufi ecstatic music from northern Pakistan, traditional ghazal music from Afghanistan, traditional and contemporary folk music, celtic music, Rumi poetry, a traditional Indigenous story from North America, and much more.
A fine menu of international foods will be available, as well as boutique coffee from Monogram Coffee. Fabulous silent auctions will tempt you.
This is a fundraiser for the Himat Peace-building Initiative in northern Pakistan. Please visit www.fourworlds.ca/himit for more information about this extremely cost-effective and result-oriented program that is working with 120 remote, high mountain villages to strengthen livelihood, build human resources and ignite a spark of hope and a vision of positive possibility.
