Un Tributo A Mexico
Carnaval de Morelos, a rarely performed work outside of this south central region, blends the pre-colonial and Moorish traditions brought to Morelos by the Spanish into an elaborate and rhythmic presentation. There's also an impressive, festive mosaic of dance suites from the states of Michoacan, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Guerrero, Sinaloa, Tabasco, and Jalisco. Adorned with colorful costumes, over 40 dancers portray the wonderfully distinct traditions that comprise Mexican culture.
