The Devil's Mask Society is proud to have Sean Grey instruct two classes on the psychology of bondage in Los Angeles.
DARK CONNECTION I: DESCENDING TRADITIONS
01.21.17 from 1 PM to 5 PM
$60 per couple. 10 couple maximum.
DESCRIPTION: We will push past conventional edgeplay with an in depth exploration of Seduction, Fear, Danger, Pain and Suggestion
This class will delve a bit into psychology, but will focus on skills for erotic hucksterism. We will discuss/develop cold reading skills, erotic sleight of hand, and how to create descending energy in a scene where we really confront the shadows in our desires. We will discuss negotiation as anticipation, ways to manage your risks and mitigate dangers, appropriate aftercare, and other ways to mitigate drop. We will also learn some dirty little tricks to use as scene intensifiers and some erotic hacks.
SKILL LEVEL: Any
DURATION: 4 hours
WHAT TO BRING: Bring the toys that you use the most. Examples will use rope, but rope isn't necessary. Bondage will be necessary. Handcuffs, leather, straps, rubber, grey neckties, pantyhose etc are all appropriate. Impact players welcome, but bring the toys that you know best and have greatest utility in a small space. This class is appropriate for any level that is seeking greater intensity in scenes.
DARK CONNECTION II: DANCING WITH SHADOWS

$60 per couple. 10 couple maximum.
DESCRIPTION: Exposure, Humiliation, Objectification, Degradation, Learned helplessness,
This class will build upon some of the skills learned in Dark Connection I, but will delve into darker emotional territory. We will define terms and try to clarify the intention of each tool before combining them. Great care will be taken to develop the skill of tailoring this kind of play to the individuals involved. Every mode will not be appropriate or effective for each participant, but understanding them will help you to stay in your lane better. No one will be required to participate publicly, though there will be opportunity for lab learning and workshopping. This class promises to be intense and emotionally challenging, and we will cooperatively create a non-judgmental space to explore these areas that promise to be vulnerable for both tops and bottoms.

WHAT TO BRING: Bring the toys that you use the most, same as Dark Connection I.
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Sean Grey entered the Dallas BDSM community in the spring of 2006 through Dallas TNG and began his leather journey about a year later at South Plains Leatherfest. In his first year in the lifestyle he doubled his income, lost a wife, took on two slaves, learned a whole lot about SM, and developed the two skills that he most wanted to learn: bullwhip and rope suspension. He believed that he was bulletproof. Over the next two years he proceeded to lose his job, both slaves, and just about everything else (except the bullwhip and suspension bit); he learned that he was not quite as bulletproof as he had previously suspected. Sadder but wiser, he discovered that Dominance would be more work than he originally thought, that even the most dedicated slave cannot fix a broken Master, that this community is compassionate beyond all reason, that SM has little to do with success in relationships, and that here is exactly where he belongs.
He is an accomplished photographer, a former staff member at Sanctuary for the Lifestyle Arts, a former leader of DFWBound 2, former member of the NLA-Dallas Executive committee and past leader of Dallas TNG. More recently he was on the board of NARIX for their inaugural event and he is currently the Education co-ordinator for Bondage Expo Dallas. His current project is Advanced Bondage Education Dallas. He is passionate about his culture, his community, and his family.
