Shake Down The Stars
Lustig Dance Theatre will open its 2012-2013 performance season down the road from its New Brunswick studios at the Crossroads Theatre. The critically acclaimed contemporary ballet company will offer three new works and a revival of Artistic Director Graham Lustig's "Infinitum", based on Parce Mihi Dominea from the Book of Job. The highlight of the evening will be a preview of Lustig's "Shake Down the Stars", danced to a selection of iconic jazz ballads. The ten-member company will also preview "Oblivion",a collection of passionate tangos choreographed by Lustig, LDT's Artistic Associate Bat Abbit, and company dancer Laney Engelhard. Also premiering will be "North Star", a lyrical duet to music by Philip Glass's Etoile Polaire.
