Curatorial Statement:
"Micro or intimate performances are an emerging global trend that cuts across disciplines; from theatre and dance to new media, live art and interactive technology. While encompassing many forms, what brings them together, in this case under the umbrella of the Micro Performance Series, is how each project prizes depth of experience above all, and I think experience is the operative word here. Each project in the series asks the audience which is rarely more than 20 at a time, to immerse themselves in a world of the artists creation. The association between audience and performer transcends more conventional forms as the two travel together in a relationship that is better described as participant and guide. These performances are not smaller versions of what would normally be larger productions, these are pieces that exploit what is only possible on a smaller, more intimate scale."

Electric Company returns to Vancouver with Initiation Trilogy, a three-part experiential and physical journey that blends the quality of a mini-festival with the sense of privately receiving a gift made just for you.
AUDIENCE NOTICES
-Check-in at The Anderson Street Space (1405 Anderson St on Granville Island: see map)
-Doors open 1 hour before showtime
-All seats are excellent and there is no advantage to arriving really early
-Dress for the weather, you're in and out of doors
INITIATION TRILOGY is...
-Approximately 90 minutes in length
-A roving show that takes place in 3 different venues that you will be guided through along sidewalks outdoors.
-Not wheelchair accessible unfortunately. Audience should be comfortable with stairs.
-An event with mature content
