Rachelle Garniez - "Diva with a Difference"

Rachelle Garniez, aka "Diva with a Difference" and "Master of Surprise" presents an evening of original songs, streams of consciousness, and darkly sparkling gems.

Rachelle Garniez is often described as a female Tom Waits. She'll be performing songs from her long-awaited latest album, "Who's Counting", just released by StorySound Records. Rachelle's voice ranges from the angelic to the demonic, the tragic to the comic; her live shows are a constant recombination of Roots, cabaret, and stream of consciousness improvisation, a truly true original.

NYC native Rachelle Garniez made her way to the stage via the performance art club scene and busking on the streets and subway platforms in the 1980's, playing all kinds of music.
In addition to gigs in NYC and environs, she tours regularly in Europe and in the past year, Malaysia, Thailand and Israel.
Rachelle composed the music for Taylor Mac's Obie Award winning The Lily's Revenge. She has worked with neo-cabaret troupe The Citizens Band as a musical director as well as a performer. She's performed in Weimar New York, collaborations with Sxip Shirey and choreographer Keely Garfield.
She has written songs for recording artists Catherine Russell, Karen Elson, and The Flying Neutrinos and can be heard on numerous television soundtracks.
Rachelle has released 5 cds of original songs as well as a vinyl single produced by Jack White.

Seating at Pangea is communal. Other guests may be seated at the table. There is a $20 per person food or beverage minimum at the tables. DINNER SEATING BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 6:30PM.

Please arrive one half hour prior to the show and allow additional time if you are planning to have a dinner.

Late arrivals will be seated at management's discretion.
