American Gothic, YNYC Mixed Ensemble
YNYC will present an immersive and highly stylized performance dedicated to the poetry Edgar Allan Poe. Tarik ORegans 2006 masterwork, The Ecstasies Above, will be bookended by two loop-based choral improvisations, involving the audience in a meditation on Edgar Allan Poe's sublime and melancholic texts.
