THE RED SHOES
The Red Shoes, a play directed by Cathy Fields,is an adaptation by Robin Short of a Hans Christian Anderson story. The story concerns a young girl who is enticed to exchange her shabby clogs for a wondrous pair of red shoes...only to find she can't remove them, and they cause her to dance incessantly. Gypsys, clowns, and mimes are involved in the shenanigans. How, we wonder, will our orphaned Karen survive these trials and improbable tribulations. Only the Stage Company's production this summer can reveal the truth.
