We will work with hand-held disks and try marudai (braiding stools). Everyone will start with a sampler braid and choose a pattern for a small project bracelet or keychain. Kumihimo is a great complement to weaving, sewing and other crafts as a custom accent. Student supplies: (optional) student may bring their own marudai and tama to use. Instructor will provide extras for students to use. Instructor supplies: per student - braiding disks, yarns, handout with patterns For class to use 2 or more marudai with braids in progress, samples, books. 10.00 supply fee for braiding disk and yarns.
