Slow Food Feast
Hello from Slow food Aberdeen City and Shire. We wish to welcome you to our inaugural dinner event - a 'Slow Food Feast'. A feast style eating experience where you come, sit, relax and the food will be laid out for you to share around just like a proper feast. No menus and no additional courses - just plenty of time for the two most important activities in life eating and talking. For the feast we have three producers supplying the food. Wark Farm will supply new Hebridean lamb, free range Mangalitsa pork will be supplied by Sunnyside Home Farm and seasonal vegetables from Bridgefoot Organic Co-operative.
The simple preparation of these ingredients will let you taste the quality of produce from these small scale sustainable producers and you will get an opportunity to talk with them as well as Slow Food committee members. We want you to bring along friends, family and better halves to enjoy good food and good company. It will be an opportunity to speak to the producers to see what it is like to be a small scale sustainable producer and to tell us about what you would like to see happen in Aberdeen City and Shire, or better still, how you would like to be involved.
The event will take place at Cafe Boheme, one of Aberdeens top independent restaurants and one of the first to sign up as a Slow Food restaurant. So join us and be part of the growing community of Slow Food foodies to support our independent restaurants and small scale suppliers. It will be an evening of real food and real networking. Hope to see you there.
