Pangea Presents "Yanna Avis"
"glamorous chanteuse Yanna Avis conducts a guided tour through a landscape of love that roams sensually from the boîtes of Edith Piaf's Paris to the cellars of Marlene Dietrich's Berlin"  Rex Reed

"seductive songs recalling an intimate boîte style made famous by legendary divas famed for erudite and sexy ditties from a world we'll never see again." {Broadway World}

Her smoky voice & sophisticated style captivate worldwide. Avis makes her mark with her theatrical technique, tongue-in-cheek delivery & sultry sense of humor. The Titian-tressed chanteuse knows how to land a baby grand with style; her sets, peppered with French, American, Spanish, Italian and German songs sizzle in any time zone.
Her unique style of international cabaret has made her a must-see in New York's most prestigious rooms, including, Café Carlyle, Café Sabarski, Feinstein at the Regency, The Metropolitan Room, The Supper Club's King Kong Room, The Firebird, and Maxims.
At the invitation of Maestro Gian Carlo Menotti, she performed at Italy's famed Spoleto Music Festival. She
was the first cabaret artist invited to the legendary festival and after overwhelming success was asked to return to perform at the Cafe Chantant on the Piazza.
On the foreign scene, she has performed in London at The Crazy Coqs, the Jermyn Street Theatre and in Mexico City.
Ms. Avis was trained at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Paris. She performed in various productions both classical and contemporary, including John Guares "House of Blue Leaves", "Boeing-Boeing", a big Broadway hit, and she appeared in films and plays on French Television.

After Yanna met her husband, she moved to America and put her homeland and her career as a noted stage and screen actress behind her and began to perform her own brand of glamorous continental style cabaret in 1992. Yanna recorded her third album: Speak Love to Me with Lee Musiker, following her other two recordings: Easy Come, Easy Go and This Time Its Love.
Her albums are available in selected stores and on the internet at CD Baby, ITunes, Rhapsody, Amazon etc... including her own website at www.yannaavis.com
