Wilderness First Aid Two-Day Training
Gain valuable tools and knowledge to handle a wilderness first aid emergency in this 16-hour, two-day intensive course. This class focuses on learning and practicing skills that can be used in wilderness settings and covers the following first aid situations: patient assessment, shock and bleeding, head and spinal injuries, wounds, musculo-skeletal injuries, and heat and cold extremes. The class is primarily indoors, but also includes up to a half day of outdoor scenarios practicing first aid skills. Successful completion of this class includes a Wilderness First Aid certificate, which is good for 3 years. Instructor Bobbie Foster has been involved in outdoor recreation for almost 30 years.
