Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn,
The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically familiar albeit ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents (played by grownups!) vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime, while candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a riotous ride, complete with audience participation, that you wont want to miss.
Featuring the comical and musical talents of Robert Convertino, Fay Gerbes, Maia Guest, Cat Guthrie, Andre Herzegovitch, John Lane, Jenn Lee, Harper Levy, Asher Pacht, Lisa Sabin, and Christopher Whipple. Directed by Christine Bokhour with Musical Direction by Nathan Perry.
*This show contains some adult humor and language.There will be THREE G-rated, family friendly performances of the show (for the 9 and under set) on Saturday October 29th at 2pm, the extra added performance on Saturday, Nov 5 at 4 pm, and Sunday November 6th at 4pm. Please use your own discretion when purchasing tickets. There will be no performance the evening of Saturday October 29th in light of the Cold Spring Village Halloween parade festivities.
