The Hop, a Musical Comedy
The Hop, St. Aidans Church 13th original musical comedy is written and directed by John Wilk, CCSF Theatre Instructor with musical direction by Scrumbly Koldewyn, legendary Cockettes star and Thrillpeddlars collaborator. This year the members of the St. Dymphnas Amateur Acting Company are pulled apart by competing efforts to win the chance to perform at the Episcopalian Sock Hop and Skit Performance Arts Gala and Auction. Hit tunes from the 1950s propel the antics of the characters through marriage proposals, people in disguise and hilarious rehearsal scenes for the competition. The show benefits St. Aidans community programs.
