Leah Jorgensen Oregon Winemaker Dinner
Meet winemaker, Leah Jorgensen for a specially made five-course dinner, created by Melinda Lucas to pair with these exquisite wines:
'15 Blanc de Cabernet Franc, paired with Dungeness Crabcake with Tarragon Aioli

'15 Tour Rain, (Cabernet Franc/Gamay Noir Blend), paired with Local Organic Greens with Roasted Beets, Goat cheese and Pistachio

'15 Sauvignon Blanc, paired with Chanterelle Soup with Creme Fraiche Garnish

'14 "Clos Rogue Valley" Reserve Cabernet Franc (pre-release), paired with Braised Shortribs with Creamy Polenta

Dessert Wine, paired with Chocolate Pot d Creme with Chantilly Cream and Berries

Leah Jorgensen has been recognized by the San Francisco Chronicle & New York Times as One of the Premier New Winemakers in America. She will be featuring her Loire Valley (France) influenced wines right here at Bainbridge Islands own Museum of Art. These are powerfully rich wines with an elegant balance rarely experienced from New World winemakers. These very small production wines are normally exclusive to the premier restaurants in America, but we get to offer you this rare opportunity to discover what the premier sommeliers already know.

"I focus on site selection, first, working almost exclusively with vineyards in the Rogue and Applegate Valleys, save for a small lot of Gamay Noir coming from the up-and-coming region off of Perrydale Road near Salem in the Willamette Valley, and then I take a close look at what the vintage is giving me to determine how I will finesse each wine lot." Leah Jorgensen

We hope that you join us for this rare and special evening!
