ANATOMY IN CLAY Workshop -- Equiken COREDATA 1 -- HORSE ANATOMY
May 17th - 23rd. 8am-5pm No Class Saturday, May 20th
**Co-Sponsored by Adjunct Faculty, Debranne Patillo, Founder of EQUINOLOGY Inc. ** https://www.equinology.com/
In Jon Zahourek's 6-Day, 48-hour workshop over 7 days with a day off in the middle you will form, in your hands, clay models of individual ligaments and muscles of the horse and add them one-at-a-time, from inside-out them onto one of Zahourek's 25%-life-sized Equiken horse sculpture. Analyzing the functional potential of every form you make and of every relationship between it and all the others you will create, you will own horse anatomy as if it were yours.
Having created this approach to learning and understanding in 1980 since emulated by hundreds of other she has taught this landmark series of workshops on the horse over the years since, to a wide audience of professionals and amateurs. Hundreds of them have, in their love for horses, seized this remarkable opportunity.
Many experts in equine training, riding, conformation, veterinary medicine, body-work, saddle-fitting, and shoeing have studied with him in these workshops. Participants have come from as far as China and Australia. Prominent among them have been Wendy Murdoch, Linda Wellington-Jones, Joyce Harmon, Susan Harris, and Debranne Patillo.
Now in the spectacular education center in the ANATOMY IN CLAY Centers, Denver. Equiken COREDATA courses have been held, as well, in other prestigious venues such as Morven Park, Jackson Holes Riverview Ranch, Monty Roberts Flag is Up Farms, and Boulder College of Massage Therapy.
Zahourek has also taught human, horse, and comparative anatomy at, among others, Londons Natural History Museum, the Smithsonian Institution, Natural History Museum and at its Naturalist Center, California State at Long Beach, and New York Citys Parsons School of New Design.
CCOREDATA classes include comparative anatomy and zoology that powerfully explains Equine evolved logic. In horses, as in our own bodies, comprehensive knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy is necessary in understanding characteristic form and function. You will build 80% of all the muscles of the horse, including all the anatomy of its movement, plus the ligaments that guide it. As well as with his rich collection of horse and comparative skeletal materials, you will work with many of Zahourek's unique models, like his working model of the horses vital reciprocal apparatus.
ANATOMY IN CLAY Centers, Denver has proudly partnered with Debranne Patillo at Equinology, Inc. to provide course credit and CEUs for completing this workshop.
