Leading Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 4.0 with SA Certification

Is it time to learn a new skill that is in high demand and extremely marketable? Scaled Agile (SAFe) takes Scrum and Agile and applies them to larger organizations.
- Class runs 8:30 to 5:30 for two days
- Workbooks and related materials are provided
- Computer won't be used during class - feel free to bring and use on breaks

Leading SAFe Description
This two-day course teaches the Lean-Agile principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework(SAFe). You'll learn how to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains, how to build an Agile Portfolio, and how to lead a Lean-Agile transformation at enterprise scale.You will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset and how to apply the principles and practices of SAFe to support Agile teams, programs, program portfolio management, and to coordinate large Value Streams.
Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe Agilist (SA).

Prerequisites All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended for those who intend to take the SA certification exam.
- 5+ years experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product or project management
- Experience in Scrum
- If you have no Scrum knowledge, a Scrum primer will be held during lunch on the first day of training
About Shawn
Over the last 20 years Shawn has held the roles of Project Manager, Systems Engineer and VP of Engineering for various businesses. Now, as an Enterprise Agile Coach, Shawn uses Lean and Agile methodologies to help businesses across the US transform their culture and establish new ways of working.
With a focus on "why", he guides leaders, managers and individuals through the culture change required to adopt new approaches. Through the use of a variety of hands-on techniques such as simulations, workshops and even playing with Legos, he reinforces lessons and provides firm and reliable guidance for establishing new ways of working that allow businesses to be more responsive to customer needs and market changes.
Shawn holds is Bachelors of Science in Computer and Information Sciences and certifications including Scaled Agile Program Consultant 4 (SPC4), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Lean Advanced Practitioner, and Six Sigma Green Belt.
On the personal side, Shawn is still an engineer at heart. He has several Arduino and related software projects going at any time. He also owns and operates The Predaxis Encounter escape room which he uses to enhance team building. He spent 6 years in the US Airforce working on C-5 aircraft. Shawn lives in Worcester, MA with his wife, two daughters, two rabbits, a dog, a bird and a turtle.
