Changing Bodies Workshop
A movement workshop for actresses focusing on readdressing the way in which you use your physical expression to its best advantage after serious life changes. Led by movement specialist Vanessa Ewan.
After graduating from the Laban Centre Vanessa immediately pursued a career as a specialist in Actor Movement which included working at major drama schools, such as E15 (where she was Head of Movement), Guildhall, Webber Douglas and RADA. Now a senior lecturer at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama the architect of the movement curriculum on the 3-year Acting Course, she also co-authored the first ever MA in movement for actors which is now the MA Movement: Directing and Teaching.
As well as teaching she has worked on over 90 public productions at Central alone as either movement coach or movement director. Interspersed with her work at Central she works as a movement consultant and coach in theatre and film and offers Master Lectures, most recently for UNAM, Mexico. Her first book Actor Movement: Expression of the Physical Being co-written with Debbie Green was published by Bloomsbury in 2015.
She is currently working on a second book focused on Labans Efforts of Action for Bloomsbury for publication in 2017.
