CASA Professional Theatre Workshops: Julio Adrião - Building a Solo Narrative
We believe that CASA should be a space for exchange, between artists and audiences, between artists from different backgrounds, between cultures and practices. We're therefore delighted to announce that our visiting artists will be giving a series of one-off masterclasses offering you an insight into the way that they work.
About Julio Adrião:
Best known to international audiences for his role in Elite Squad: The Enemy Within, Julio Adrião is an acclaimed actor, street performer and director from Rio de Janeiro.
In 2005, Julio won the Brazil's biggest Acting Award, the Shell Prize, for his tour-de-force performance in A Descoberta das Americas. Since then he has gone on to perform the show over 500 times to an audience of over 200,000 people.
We're delighted that he has agreed to share some of the exercises and tricks and ideas that he uses to build a solo narrative, both in terms of dramaturgy and performance. A must for anyone who wants to perform, direct or write a solo show.
We have three ticket prices: £5, £10 & £15. Whatever you pay, you get the same ticket. The more you pay, the more we get and the more we can do in the community all year round!
Cancellation policy: If you cancel up to 7 days prior to the workshop you will get a full refund minus booking fee. If you cancel 48 hours before the workshop you will get a 50% refund minus booking fee. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the workshop there will be no refund.
