"45 Seconds From Broadway" by Neil Simon

The Evergreen Playhouse and director D.Douglas Lukascik are pleased to present one of Neil Simon's more recent works, "45 Seconds from Broadway" for the first show of our 53rd consecutive season. Part homage and part farce, this play is Mr. Simon's tribute to what he calls "the last bastion of what used to be the greatness of Broadway Theater!" Before giant productions of singing jungle animals took over the Great White Way, there were actual plays on Broadway, and those plays started in coffee shops like the one in which this play is set. A diverse and talented cast will bring this cafe to life and leave you wishing you had some pound cake. The cast includes:
