Dance, Yes We Can: A Post Presidential Election Performance
"Dance, Yes We Can...." brings a fine slate of dance companies and choreographers together in rotating repertory over two weekends. The Dance Complex, believing ALL ART is political, whether overtly or in context of other works, has elected these artists to the stage.

The Space Movement Project
The Space Movement Project is an innovative female dance group dedicated to: nurturing the collective female lens in contemporary dance movement; inspiring experimental collaborative inquiry in creative dance process; and cultivating the Chicago dance community through its platforms for discussion and venue for contemporary dance incubation.
Elders Ensemble of Prometheus Dance
The Elders Ensemble, a formidable company of performers- all over 60,70 and 80 years young- reinvent dance as an emotionally provocative art form, one which embraces the spoken word as well as movement, one which can express the wisdom born from youth and lived through full life experience.
Doppelganger Dance Collective
Doppelgänger Dance Collective (DDC) co-founded in 2015 by dancers Shura Baryshnikov and Danielle Davidson, fosters the creation and performance of original, contemporary choreographic work for duet performance.
The Saturday night performances include an eclectic mix of dance works, dealing with issues of otherness, justice, race, identity, gender, and the construction of art.
