Funny. Ridiculous. Thoughtful. Three words that describe the production of "art", the Tony Award winning comedy by Yasmina Reza, opening September 7 thru October 14 at the Malibu Stage company, in Malibu. The show explores what happens when one of three close friends buys a modern painting for an astronomical price and how they all react off one another. Their friendships are challenged, their perceptions about art, loyalty, honesty and taste are all for grabs. The show moves along alike a runaway train. All the core people working on the show are long time veterans of the Stage Company and they're pulling out the stops as they perform in one of the finest small theater spaces in the entire L.A. area.
