What Was Mine To Do
WHAT WAS MINE TO DO by Dustin Spence
Directed by Doug Long

Embedded reporter Frank Bernhardt and Staff Sergeant Antonio Cruz find themselves held captive in a Taliban prison cell in Afghanistan. Their only hope for release from the grasp of their zealous jailer lies in the hands of the crew from a Chicago TV news studio, 7000 miles away. What Was Mine to Do examines the impact of media on modern warfare and how people a world apart can deeply impact each other's lives.

This world-premiere play by Dustin Spence is directed by Doug Long. The cast features Monnie Aleahmad, Kate Black-Spence, Denise Blank, Matthew Lloyd, Gustavo Obregon, Andy Quijano, and Colin Reeves.

The production team includes the talents of Glen Anderson (Set Designer), Libby Beyreis (Violence Designer), Ben Campana (Props Designer), Carrie Campana (Costume Designer), Cat Davis (Lighting Designer), Brad Gunter (Production Manager), Lisa Uhlig (Stage Manager), and Jason Weinberg (Sound Designer).

Playing at The Side Project Theatre (1439 West Jarvis Avenue, Chicago), performances will run Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. through October 7th.
