Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre - 2016 Fall Concert - 8 Seconds
The Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre will premiere 8 Seconds, a thoughtful and humorous look at our shrinking attention spans. Whether it's due to our use of technology or being overloaded by both information and environmental stimuli, 8 Seconds asks the question: What are the implications of our shrinking ability to maintain focus? And, while watching dance is an expected activity at a dance concert, in an exciting twist of the experience, audience members will also get to choose what catches their attention and what distracts them. This visually riveting performance is fun for the whole family!
Known for work that is both athletic and idiosyncratic, the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre is joined by dancers from the PTDT Apprentice Company and The Third Stage, a multi-generation, contemporary company.
