The Great Pumpkin Beer & Food Pairing
We have a quartet of our favorite pumpkin beers to share with you. Admission includes four 5-ounce tasters of beer and Autumnal Spiced Spare Ribs with a duo of sides.
Featuring the following beers:
Lost Abbey Avant Gourde 2014 | 7.0% ABV
Lost Abbey Avant Gourde 2015 | 7.25% abv
The first pumpkin beer produced by The Lost Abbey- a Biere de Garde brewed with pumpkin and spices and conditioned with Brettanomyces. A beer produced to age gracefully, the addition of wild yeast gives the beer an earthy complexity that will increase with time. Made with pumpkin, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, allspice, and orange peel.
The Bruery Autumn Maple | 10.0% abv
This beer is made in the pumpkin beer tradition, except instead of pumpkins we used yams, and lots of them! A big Belgian-style brown ale of 10% ABV, this one is bringing pumpkin beers (or yam beers) into new territory
Anderson Valley Pinchy Jeek Barl | 8.5% abv
Aged for 6 months in Wild Turkey barrels, this bourbon barrel-aged pumpkin ale is pleasantly creamy with a silky body and sweet caramel flavor. The aging process imparts notes of coconut, vanilla, and oak to compliment the tang of the spices and a hint of hops, all wrapped in a smooth, round finish.
