SCARRIE- The Musical
In honor of our 10th anniversary Hell in a Handbag is proud to present the show that started it all. In 1998, David Cerda's 1st musical parody, SCARRIE-The Musical, opened in the Sweetcorn Playhouse in the Andersonville neighborhood in Chicago and rand for 18 months, closing when the building was sold. SCARRIE-The Musical is an unauthorized musical parody and homage to the electrifying Stephen King story and classic Brian DePalma film. Before there was 'Heathers', and 'Mean Girls' there was 'Carrie'- the tale of a girl pushed to the edge, forcing her into a fury of telekinetic justice. Get ready for an evening of laughter, tears, music and lots of pigs blood...,
