AveKids: Malika Queen of the Cats
“Malika Queen of the Cats,” written by Tears of Joy artistic director Nancy Aldrich, features a royal cat who is a benevolent figure, glamourpuss, powerful monarch, and a dispenser of magic. This charming story is told through puppetry for kids three and up and is an introduction to Middle Eastern culture and the power of giving to others. Based on a traditional story from Palestine and adapted from the book “Sitti and the Cats” by Sally Bahous.
