PRESENTATION: Virtual Reality Applications for the AEC Industry
Historically, the AEC industry has always been able to take advantage of the technological advances from video game and 3D design. We are currently on the horizon of virtual reality becoming an industry need instead of a want, just as BIM was 10 years ago. The speaker will present several practical applications for Virtual Reality (VR) in Design, Construction and Planning, and how construction/consulting/architecture firms can leverage this to give both a competitive advantage and usher in a new age of construction project communication and visualization.
PRESENTER: John Rewolinski
Mr. John Rewolinski is currently a Sound Transit employee working as a Sr. Scheduler on multiple programs. Over the past two decades, John has been a journeyman carpenter, contractor, designer, consultant and owners representative. John is the creator and author of the Adjustable Compartmentalized Standard scheduling method, and has made contributions to several of the worlds largest mega-projects. John has helped pioneer many cutting edge BIM technologies including 4D scheduling and Virtual Reality for the AEC industry.

COST:
The member price for this event is $32.00 if you register before 12:00 Noon on the Monday immediately preceding the meeting; late registration is $37.00.
Non-members price is $39.00 before 12:00 Noon on the Monday immediately preceding the meeting, and $45.00 thereafter.
Please note that registration will be closed Monday October 10th at 8:00 pm.
A very limited of first come first served meals will be available at the door.

Chile-Lime Seared Chicken Breast, or Pan Seared Steak Sukiyaki, or Vegetarian (requires one week advance notice)

The AACE Seattle Section must pay for all meals that are ordered. If you RSVP that you will attend, you are responsible for the bill of your meal. In addition, if you attend without an RSVP there is a possibility that your meal options will be limited from those listed above. Anybody interested in budget control, claims management, cost engineering, cost estimating, earned value management, planning and scheduling, project control, project management, value engineering, or risk management in any industry is cordially invited.
AACE Seattle Section meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from September through May (excluding December). Each meeting with a technical presentation qualifies for .25 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards your CCP/CEP/CFCC/DRMP/EVP/PSP recertification requirements.
