ANATOMY IN CLAY WORKSHOP -- Comparative HEAD Anatomy of the HUMAN, EQUINE & CANINE
In this four-hour workshop, attendees with built the comparative head anatomy of a human, equine and canine.
The Workshop will be taught by founder, Jon Zahourek, who has over 40 years of teaching experience on the subject matter, and has taught on various levels, internationally.
Anatomical structures in humans have similarities and differences with other animals. Explore these unique connections in a critical study of evolutionary sub-systems. Students will be provided with a skeletal base of each model, mounted to stands side-by-side for quick comparison.
They will be provided clay and tools, and walked through a focused building of the musculature in this active learning opportunity. Educating anatomy in this way has been proven through multiple studies to be a remarkably effective way to retain the information for both children and adults alike.
The information taught in this course can be invaluable to veterinarians, healthcare professionals, and more. Once your build is complete we believe that you, like so many others, will discover that, "The mind cannot forget what the hands have built (tm)".
