Mountain Dulcimer Workshop with Sally Rogers & Claudia Schmidt
The dulcimer is a very versatile instrument which can be played very simply or can even be used for jazz and classical pieces. Claudia and Sally have two very different styles of playing and will demonstrate the tunings they use, right hand techniques for bringing out the melody and rhythm of a piece and give suggestions for playing together with others. Attendees will work on a pieceas a class to demonstrate these techniques. You must bring your own dulcimer to the class.
