Ocie Davis Quartet
Ocie originally from Los Angeles, Ca., studied music at the University of New Orleans under the tutelage of Ellis Marsalis. He has played with jazz luminaries such as Benny Golson, Terence Blanchard, and Nicholas Payton and toured extensively with Christian Scott, Donald Harrison and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
Ocie currently is Artistic Director of Jazz Arts Initiative (of Charlotte) which he co-founded in 2009. The nonprofit organization focuses on jazz programming, jazz education and musician support.
